City moves forward with implementation of Nashua Downtown Riverfront Plan
The City of Nashua is undertaking the removal of invasive species along the Nashua River in preparation for the implementation of the Downtown Riverfront Plan, developed by Halvorson. Officials hired engineers VHB—working closely with landscape architects at Halvorson—to advance the design for extending the riverwalk and introducing opportunities to engage with the water.

Thompson Place Opens Fort Point's First Trader Joe's
Thomson Place, a new retail and dining destination developed by Invesco Real Estate and Crosspoint Associates, opened in Boston’s Fort Point Channel. Designed by Margulies Perruzzi with landscape by Halvorson, the project involved the restoration and re-positioning of three historic buildings and the introduction of a new pedestrian plaza to activate the streetscape and create a new public amenity for the neighborhood.
Lynn Breaks Ground on New Waterfront Development
State and local officials turned out for the groundbreaking for a new waterfront development overlooking Lynn Harbor on the site of the former Beacon Chevrolet, which has been vacant more than thirty years. Breakwater North Harbor is being developed by Minco Corporation in partnership with the Dolben Company and will feature a two four-story mixed-use building designed by HDS Architecture with 331 market-rate apartments and amenity spaces as well as a two-acre waterfront park and new harborwalk designed by Halvorson.
