State and local officials turned out for the groundbreaking for a new waterfront development overlooking Lynn Harbor on the site of the former Beacon Chevrolet, which has been vacant more than thirty years. Breakwater North Harbor is being developed by Minco Corporation in partnership with the Dolben Company and will feature a two four-story mixed-use building designed by HDS Architecture with 331 market-rate apartments and amenity spaces as well as a two-acre waterfront park and new harborwalk designed by Halvorson.
“This is the beginning of unlocking the waterfront and converting it to an urban, mixed-use development,” said Mayor Thomas M. McGee.
