Upcoming AIA National Conference Tours in Boston

Bob Uhlig and Rob Adams will join other landscape architects, urban designers, and city officials to lead tours as part of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) National Conference in Architecture and Design taking place in Boston from June 4-7.

Bob will help lead a 1.5-mile walking tour of significant urban landscapes built subsurface structures in downtown including Post Office Square Park, the Rose Kennedy Greenway Parks, and Government Center / City Hall Plaza, where they will learn how innovative urban green space development can provide opportunities to engage communities, host and support public events and art installations, enable active lifestyles, promote #sustainability in design, provide shade and cooling from summer heat, advance environmental performance goals, and offer access and inclusion for diverse audiences.

Rob will participate as a thought leader providing insights into the challenges and opportunities associated with public realm and climate change during a waterfront boat tour of Boston Harbor which highlights Boston’s resiliency efforts, including our work on the Climate Ready South Boston plan, Clippership Wharf in East Boston, and the Channelside A Street Development in South Boston.
