Tremont Crossing, a new mixed-use complex in Roxbury that has been in the works for several years, is expected to break ground this summer.
The Boston Planning & Development Agency gave final approval to Feldco Development and Emma Lewis Partners to lease the site, which sets the stage for the development team to begin work on the proposed 1.7-million-square-foot complex featuring more than 700 apartments, offices, a new museum of National Center of Afro-American Artists, over 400,000 square feet of retail, and parking for nearly 1,400 cars. Halvorson Design is providing landscape architecture for the 7.5-acre site.
