We're excited to announce that our work at Mount Auburn Cemetery Birch Gardens and Western Avenue Complete Streets was bestowed Design Merit Awards by the Boston Society of Landscape Architects.
Cambridge's Western Avenue incorporates a fully separated bike and pedestrian lane along with innovative stormwater solutions and neighborhood-enhancing parklets. The Complete Streets design is one of the first in the Commonwealth and was also voted Best Cycle Track in the US in 2016.
Birch Gardens features a new memorial wall, reflecting pool and 500 new interment spaces for Mount Auburn Cemetery. The design is an elegant solution that increases the Cemetery's future economic viability as the institution grapples with a growing need for space conservation.
