Rob Adams to speak at Northeast Summit for a Sustainable Built Environment

On March 26th, Rob Adams of Halvorson | Tighe & Bond Studio will join Nick Iselin, General Manager of Development for Lendlease, and Seth Homes, Associate Professor and Architecture Graduate Program Director at the University of Hartford to discuss: “Integrating Climate Resilience into Buildings and the Public Realm” as part of the NESSBE Power of Place Conference.

The panelists will demonstrate ways to protect vulnerable communities from extreme heat/cold at the building level, explore methods for linking performance models with GIS to create an urban building energy model (UBEM) to evaluate climate vulnerability more holistically, and highlight through recent case studies how landscape architecture can successfully work with engineered systems to protect and enhance communities to create a vibrant, thriving public realm.
