Fort Point Channel Parks
at Rose Kennedy Greenway
Civic Open Space | Boston, Massachusetts
The Massachusetts Horticultural Society selected Halvorson to develop a series of verdant gardens and open spaces along three parcels of the Rose Kennedy Greenway.
The parcels were intended as a showcase of local horticulture that would also support passive recreation and enjoyment. The planting was installed with substantial involvement from the Massachusetts Master Gardener Association.
The landscape has continued to evolve with the stewardship of the Greenway Conservancy and has become the site of artistic installations and innovative cultural programs such as the Design Biennial Boston.
