A crowd of 3,000 is expected to attend the dedication this Saturday, September 11th for the new Generals Park in Quincy. The park, designed by Halvorson | Tighe & Bond Studio in collaboration with Mayor Thomas Koch and representatives from the City, honors 18 U.S. Generals, and all military personnel with local roots, for their service.

Tuscan Village celebrates grand opening of latest phase of its 3.8 million sf development

Mayor Janey Celebrates Grand Opening of New Mixed-Income Housing
Acting Mayor Kim Janey joined the Boston Housing Authority, WinnCompanies, and MassHousing to celebrate the opening of the Harbor125 Apartments and Harborwalk Residences in East Boston. Halvorson | Tighe & Bond Studio worked closely with The Architectural Team (TAT) and the developers to design a variety of green spaces and streetscapes for this 1.1-acre site.
Cambridge Carl Barron Plaza on River Street Eyed for a Remake
Sweeping changes are proposed for Carl Barron Plaza at the heart of Central Square, including new bus stops, bike lanes, a renovated plaza and sculptural elements. Halvorson | Tighe & Bond Studio is collaborating with the Cambridge Community Development Department and HDR, Inc. on the reconstruction of River Street, which also includes the redesign of Carl Barron Plaza and Norman M. Tubman Plaza.
DCR Kicks Off Herter Park Master Plan with Listening Session
DCR hosted a public meeting to discuss the Christian A. Herter Park master plan being developed by Halvorson | Tighe & Bond Studio. The team provided an overview of the park and its various site features, DCR’s goals for the master plan, and what they’d learned from meeting with various stakeholder groups. West Laurel Hill celebrates groundbreaking of new Jewish Cemetery
Halvorson | Tighe & Bond Studio’s design for West Laurel Hill’s new Jewish Cemetery—Makom Shalom—is inspired by the natural landforms that makes West Laurel Hill Cemetery’s landscape and experience memorable. The cemetery staff and design team focused on creating a contemporary, contemplative garden cemetery that respects Jewish funeral customs and culture while integrating seamlessly with the surrounding landscape character of West Laurel Hill.

This Memorial Day weekend, the design and development team celebrated the grand opening of Phase 2 at Tuscan Village in Salem, NH with cooking competitions, a charity 5K, and plenty of activities.
